I paid $25k for my 06 Pitbull in 06. Brand new. No reason to pay that much now, 2 years later.

Shop around a little, I bet you can find a better deal on a newer bike. Try Twin Specialties in raleigh NC. Great guys.

06 k9

I paid 20,500 out the door in Feb of this year, and got them to throw in extended controls. I bought it from DC Cruisers which was on there way out of business, so that may have helped a bit.

Freedom Rider had 2008 k9s for under 26000. They are in Fresno California I don't know if they had any 2006 Ridgebacks and I can't pull up the web site today. This was before the 3000 off from B.D.
I just threw up. It makes me sick seeing all these $3000 off and new bikes for $26,000. I wish I had know about this site before I bought my bike. It might have saved me several thousand dollars. Maybe not, because I wanted a particular bike, but maybe. Oh well, no reason to dwell on the should've, could've, would've.

Can't do that, BigSpenda - you'd have to change your screen name! :D

Seriously, if you thought it was a good deal when you bought it, it probably was, at that time - and nobody can predict the future.

2006 Mastiff that the dealer wanted $31500 in June 2006. Bought it in January of 2007 for $26000. So I would guess low 20s

The more I think about it, the more I realize that it is very difficult to gauge an exact price for what a given BD is worth. When you think about the variation of paint and graphics that can go into it, the price can range by thousands very easily.

I guess the bottom line is that if I am happy with the bike and the price, then the rest really doesn't matter fretting over. Just shut up and ride biotch!

re

Low ball them...they'll come back w/ their low price. I bought my 05 RB for 22.5k out the door in 05. I low balled at 17k and almost got booted. We negociated for over an hour before coming to an agreement. I was willing to ceiling at 25k out the door.

That's right. I know I paid a premium for my bike but I want this bike. I saw it and the negotiations were over. I just said how much and it was on. I probably could've haggled a bit but what the hell. Truth is, I love my bike so much I would've probably paid more for it.

20k MAX. The 08 is the new 330 ridgeback, who cares if it's still "new." Plus it's a hard tail and they depreciate much faster

What is a given bike worth to you?

Do not worry what others think it is worth, if you are ok with the price for the bike you are getting, buy it and ride it.

See ya on the road.

I am also looking at a 2005 that I just found on Craigslist today with the paint that I have been looking for (black, 'on a roll'). It only has 56 miles on it (yes 56  ).

Apparently a guy won it at a casino in Reno in 2006, let it sit for a year in his garage, and then sold it to his friend (the guy who has it now) in my state. This guy had bought it for his dad last summer, but his dad, who just got his license this spring, was not able to drive it (too big of a bike for him) and got himself a Harley instead. So the Ridgeback sat in his garage until now.

He's asking $20k for it, but I'm leery based on how long its been 'sitting around'.

I've also read out here that there have been some extra issues with the 05's ?
