Light swirls in chrome

Does anyone know of a way to get swirls out of chrome I tried everything you can buy that says it will and can still see them after. Tried 0000 steel wool on old piece of chrome that was replaced, bad idea.

The only way to remove the swirls involves removing the offending piece and sending it to the chromer.

I've never had 0000 steel wool damage chrome -- yes I have used it on the bike as hard as that is to believe for some.
