Call me a pussy, but whenever it gets this hot out I hold off on riding.
I just think it's too hard on the machine and man. I skipped a ride to the quad cities today because I knew it was going to be alot of stop light to stop light riding. My legs would be roasted.
I know most of you are hard core riders and would balk at me but anyone else take the outside heat into consideration?
It's supposed to hit 101 today. Mutha!!
Thanks,
Wild Mike

When the heat is on on Kansas, its like riding in an actual oven. Mornings n late evenings aint near as rough but still unpleasant. Here its either ride in the heat or stay home. Ya get used to it if ya go out enough. :chopper:

Well, sure, I work out in the yard during the day and heat has never seemed to bother me, it's the damn cold that kills me , but i wonder about the machine, sure there's 20/ 50 in the motor but damn it has to be hard on the machine with this type of heat and being air cooled

You can always add external coolers, if you can find a set. Unless you are doing a lot of city/stop/go driving, you should be fine.

Here in Florida, I refuse to ride any of my air cooled bikes in anything hotter than 90 degrees. I just wait until after sunset, and ride in the evening hours, easier on me, and much easier on the motors. During our short winter's 50 degrees is my cut off, too dam old to ride in the cold. All that being said, I still average 10 to 12k miles a year, on a saddle.

Pussy. 100* at 5pm, when I left for a cruise in. I will admit that it is going to be less than a 75 mile ride.

This has been the coolest summer in a few years seems. Pussy blooms is in the late fall, early spring. I always ride in the summer heat so I rarely see pussy on the street. Less traffic and wave less.
You a badass Sven. I did 120 miles last Saturday in 107°. Dang near took me out the game.
