Bike: 2009 Bulldog Bagger

While installing a new fuel line this piece fell out from either under the gas tank on the fuel pump side or from the fairing near the neck. I know it's a bump stop or rubber isolater for something but does anyone know where it could have come from? As in what part do I need to remove to replace it fairing or gas tank.

Thanks in advance.

One of the old ones.
Maybe place a coin or key or something to gauge the size of the object? I had a Bagger for a couple of years and had the faring and fuel pump off a few times, but don’t immediately recognize that…..Maybe a schematic would be helpful but I never had one.

My concern is it looks like a bolt went threw it to hold it in place. If so, is the bolt still there?
Idk. Like I said I was putting a new fuel line on and I couldn't reach it with my hand so I was using a screw driver and as I was guiding the line on this thing just fell out from somewhere. It fell hit the front head and bounced down on my chest. I don't know if it came from tank or fairing. The screw driver was placed between the front down tubes of the frame, behind the neck, up between the tank and backbone.

You might want to invest in one of these https://www.amazon.com/Yuhoo-Inspec...hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583932717051699&psc=1 cheap endoscopes so you can do some visual inspections without having to disassemble and maybe you can see where it came from.

Is it possible that it's a bump-stop for the forks? I'm just guessing here, but maybe they were put in to keep the fairing from hitting the tank on the baggers?

Its your front motor mount dampener. If you look from the right side in front of the motor and down towards the floor, you can see the dampener and nthe nut that retains it. 16782921427983841313700260374641.jpg
Screwdriver point is resting on the rubber grommet. Hope this helps.
Take the old grommet to your local Napa and they may have something close enough to get you riding. Pull trhe lower front cowling and you should be able to acces from there. Good luck.

Not sure thats it. I was laying between the front wheel and chin spoiler working on the fuel line when it fell from under gas tank or the fairing. I'll look at what you pointed out tho.

That's reasonable. It could be a bump stop for the fairing or radio mount bracket. Guess my next days off I'm pulling the complete fairing off and the gas tank also.

Anyone got the instructions how to pull the gas tank off a bulldog bagger? The ones I was sent by Marky-Mark are wrong I believe, because they described a Mastiff style setup and my tank setup is completely different.
