I'm thinking you're not riding near enough, to have dry rot happen before you wear the tire to the belts is a distinct sign of too few miles per year.

For reference it’s a 2019 and only 2 spots on the entire tire look like this. The rest looks perfect. This is on the little 883 Sportster. I ordered a new Dunlop today

Replace. A bit of cracks in auto tires no biggie. But motorcycle tires experience much more extremes. The cracking also means they are hard and therefore not as plyable. Tire failure at 60 on a bike is catastrophic, it's why no reputable shop will patch a bike tire (excpetion is limping home).

Mick, you are going to have a tough time smoking a tire on a 883.

Wow less than 4 years old. Well I just got my Dunlap for my road king. I did get 8 years and 16,000 miles out of the last one. So the price difference may be worth it.

The Dunlap has 3 plies on the sidewall and 5 plies in the center. Made in the USA
