Hey folks, so I need to ditch my big radius 2 into 1's due to some yahoo that took the baffle out before me, well bike didn't come with it either and there's no chance ones getting back in there anyway, thing backfires like ...on an abnoxious level. Pretty sure that's why....anyways I wanna get the 2 into 2, that being said are they all actually bike specific? Or are they all the same as far as ....v twin ...same shape yadda yadda?
Found some for 3-3.5 - 4 hundo but they're off of Harleys. What am I doing here? Lol thx, cheers

That’s a tricky question. 1st what bike do you own? 2nd depends on LSD-or RSD. There are lots of pipes out there that can be used. Unfortunately most require a specific mounting bracket to attach them to the frame.

I had the same 2 into one big radius on my 08 chopper. No baffle either. I was able to get a baffle for it. Can't remember where or who I got it from. And that was many years ago. Maybe a google search? Would be cheaper to get a baffle than another set of pipes.

Your idle mixture may be rich. That will cause carry over on closed throttle high vacuum conditions.

The exhaust has to allow for the width of your 300 rear tire—maybe you can find someone who wants to trade a V&H 2 into 2. The 2 into 1 is actually harder to find.
I agree with AWG above on putting a baffle in yours.
The mount bracket is very important as they are specific to the exhaust system and the Big Dog model. I went back to your posts and see you bought an ‘08 K9–I don’t know if any other model (e.g. Mastiff) bracket would fit. You need to find an exhaust for a 300 rear tire, but I understand the bracket has to be for a K9.

I blew my 13 year old baffle out when the set screw vibrated out 9 years ago on my 2 into 1 V & H and contacted them directly for a replacement. They shipped it next day.

If you have EFI, you can only change the parameters through S&S protune.

If you don’t have tuning experience, I would not recommend because you can lean out and ruin an engine.

That said, if this is a stock bike, it may be an indication there is an issue the dirty injectors as an example. The stock VFI will self adjust up to 20% of the tune and will error to be fat to prevent a lean condition. Has your check engine light been on?
