Torque spec for the 4 pressure plate bolts in primary

Wondering if I have mine too tight, are you supposed to leave any "spring play" or just tighten em down all the way? .....having some odd issues. 4th is useless with slippage , and 5&6 let go at the end of the gear. Adjusted clutch several times ......bout to do it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I know on my o5 they get torqued down.
The manual tells how to do all this stuff.
I recently replaced my pressure plate but the spring plate was ok.

K, thanks everyone , I only ask because that's what I did , torque em down, I'm just having weird ass issues with slippage and wanted to make sure they weren't supposed to have some give in em or something. It makes no sense....all my gears worked perfect before I dropped it off at the dealer to get a trans leak fixed and when I got it back 4th is basically useless and the end of 5&6 slip. They had to have forgotten to put something back in the right way or somethin. They had my clutch basket out. I've adjusted the clutch 4 times now in both directions as far as when the rod hits and am getting no better results. Rippin my hair out

2008 and yes the infamous clutch adjustment done 6-7 times now wearing and backing off in both directions lighter and heavier resistance with no difference in the outcome clutch performance .

If you suspect that the shop put your bike back together incorrectly you probably should take it back since they caused the failure. If you can't take it back for some reason give this adj a try. If it still fails pull your clutch plates and make sure the shop installed them correctly and they are not warped or damaged.

Hmmm....this whole time I'd re tighten the cable after I backed out the quarter turn... Your saying to tighten. Cable then go back down to the quarter . I wonder if that's my problem

This is another method. Give them all a try, they are subtle differences but have worked for different guys. Can't hurt. I think the biggest issue is not getting the pushrod and the ball and ramp position correct. A lot of feel going on and we all have different interpretations of the directions.
When you pull the clutch handle the ball and ramp rotates and pushes the pushrod to release the plates. The cable adj and the pushrod adj work together to achieve proper operation. If the clutch cable can't be totally released (1/16) the B&R will be held off bottom and consequently lost throw. If the Push Rod adj. is too tight your plates will slip and if too loose the plates won't disengage properly.
Keep in mind the shop that did the work may have screwed up inside.
