Aloha guys and gals! I have a 2007 Mastiff and I’m looking for a Direct bolt on complete motor. Will the S&S 124 or 113 bolt directly to the bike without mods?? I know it’s hard nowadays to find a new 117? Any thoughts or advise? I appreciate you all!

First, why do you need a new motor?
Why not rebuild the old one? I would think that wouldbe cheaper especially with shipping to HI?

Hey Big Mike, lol you’re absolutely right! just looking at other options. There’s a, I think a wrist pin knock going on in my front cylinder. I have been using a scope to pin point the knock and spoke to a few locals here. just trying to get as much info as I can. i am going to pull the motor to work on it. I know it is the cheaper way and I get to see excatly what I have inside and what improvements I can do. Any thoughts is appreciated.
mahalo.

It would be cheaper to rebuild the 117 and have it bumped up to a 124. But I have a 124 in my 06 Mastiff and it was a direct bolt in. I don't think there is a major change of the frame between a 06 and 07 mastiff, the main difference is the swing arm and maybe the transmission offset? And I believe another difference is under the bike where the shocks are?

There are different ones you have the v124 and t124. Thinking the difference is how they are built. But mounting should be the same. Best advice I can tell you is to call S&S Cycles tell them what you have and what you want, and they can tell you which one will be best but they ain't cheap $7,500 to about 10,000 depending on what you want.
