What extras do I need to buy to mount one of these on my '07 Chopper? I know I need the adapter, but do I also need the support bracket and enrichener?

You need the bracket to support the end of the carb and also need the enrichener there are 3 different types.

I bought the adapter as well but didnt need it. They are a little tricky to tune in but they look good

Brian my K9 is at Rodney's now. I have the D&M Raptor and you need the support bracket. Going to Little Rock tommorrow to pick it up. Been there a month for a transmission. Run by there and look at my setup if you want. It will give you a idea what they look like on the bike.

Hmmm...

I had a D&M spike that I put on my HD, but I couldn't make it work. The HD is bored to 96 c.i., has 10.2:1 compression, and uses a HQ39 cam. When ever I got over 4200 rpm at WOT it would run out of air and start spitting and sputtering. That sure pissed the OL off..

The ONLY air filter the HD will tolerate is a stage 2 Arlen Ness Big Sucker.

What puzzles me is that the BD is 117 c.i., and apparently is able to use a D&M spike. Is this because the S&S is only 9 point something to 1 compression ratio?

I'm torn between the D&M Spike and the Forcewinder with a Crossfire cover. I think needing the bracket for the D&M might be the deciding factor. It makes it a difference of nearly $300.

Another round please
The D&M is a piece of crap. Looks cool, works like shit. I have one. I cut it off at the elbow and slid on a K&N filter. The reason I know is it killed my dyno #'s. Even my big K&N takes away 5 HP but I have to run something.

Hmmm.... that makes the Forcewinder even more tempting.
If you do a search on here you will find that members either hate them or love them. Lots of dyno guys are with the first group.

I had a breathing issue with a similar intake and my dyno guy pulled it and showed me the difference. The Forcewinder will breath better!!!

Oh.... do you need to use a support bracket with the Forcewinder setup too?
If you get the complete setup it will come with the mounting bracket. Are you paying $100 or $300? You will know which one comes with! Make sure you tell them you have the SSW engine so they know what breather system you have.

You need the Carb Support for the After Market Breathers. D & M has them as well.
I took my Spike off yesterday for this baby and I love it.

I was looking at a kit for around $219 at J&P, but it doesn't appear to include the adapter or support bracket.
