If you subscribe to my channel, you saw what we are trying to do….

Having fun and had some head scratches with this great collaboration with @Mr. Wright and @Th3InfamousI Eric…

IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS A 2009+ FULL SERVICE MANUAL (COMPLETE) FOR A PITBULL OR BIG DOG, Please reach out…..it seems the 2008+ EFI Pitbull tank (it’s NOT in the 2008 service manual) has a different fuel pump/gas tank setup…I have jerry rigged it for now, but would love to see an original print….THE 2009+ manuals on DROP BOX are missing a ton of chapters....arrrggggg.....

This has been an incredible learning/engineering process…thanks to @Mr. Wright for building the prototype bracket from the idea @Th3InfamousI had and guaranteeing his welds for the way I ride for 90 ft or 90 second…….. HAHAHAHAHAHA....LMAO!!!

I’m the Guniea pig, working things out. I do believe, doing a CARB setup like this, Is a little simpler..….Eric rides a prototype SQAURE FRAME CARB K9 so the pitbull tank fits on his with some MINOR mods, me, I'm the first guy to work this out with Shannon and Erics bracket idea….on a ROUND FRAME. I can say, final design is good to go on the bracket….still have some things to sort out, but bracket is ROCK SOLID! No modifications to the frame WHATSOEVER…..Wiring is rock solid! See pictures for now...maybe a video later on....

Wires are run inbetween round frame and square bracket….protects them better IMO….

Yes, the bike is still in my living room....no leaks...LMAO!!!!!

Here’s some pictures…probably won’t be done until I get back from Europe mid to end of May…HAPPY HAPPY EASTER AND CHEERS!!!

Fun project. Thanks Mark for helping with the final details. All I had was a tank and Eric bent frame, from his wreck. All I could do was quests on how the wires would go.
They should work just fine on a carb engine.
I'm sure Eric will chime in on what he ran into on his build.
These tanks do look way cool on the K9's, but to let everyone know, this isn't a cheap swap. A petcock has to be installed in the tank, and your seat will need to be shortened a couple inches.

Thanks @Mr. Wright..ALSO, ontop of the COST of all that...remember...some of the Big Dog Paints/Colors/Tints for the Paints are NO LONGER MADE!!! You will have to get your tank, lined, primed, and PAINT matched!!! Again, some of the 'tints' are NO LONGER MADE....OR, REPAINT your WHOLE BIKE to do this project......but, like Shannon said, COOL AS FUCK!!!!

I am NOT a painter by any means....the 'PEARL' in my original BDM K9 paint is NOT MADE anymore...but, I have a GREAT PAINTER...and ARTIST who matched it....PERFECTLY!!! FIND GUY like that!!! most ANYTHING is POSSIBLE!!! EXCEPTIONS are there...like the 'Poison Ivy' paint originally made my BDM...NO ONE can match that...when part of the paint was discontinued...100ML was selling for $1000......SMILE!

Thank you MIKE! But, as you can see, it does not include a breakdown of the EFI tank for the Pitbull...glad Eric found what he did..but this is the most updated manual for everyone!! AWESOME!!!! Since @Mr. Wright, @Th3InfamousI one and I are dabbing around because there are no more K9 tanks....I managed to get the 'normal' EFI pump setup into the 08+ tank...took some hose maneuvering and disassembling/modification but have got it to work....I think...only issue is, with the long 'Mastiff/K9' Fuel Pump hose....I will NOT have a reserve.....:oldlaugh::oldlaugh::oldlaugh::oldlaugh: but that's all good....

And Shannon is correct, tank purchase, paint matching, seat reduction, and for the CARB version, you need the petcock kit....and drill a hole in the tank.......big $$$....but, if you need a tank, or want something unique this is going to be the coolest BIG DOG K9 in your hood!!! as of now, ERIC is the only one with one, mine will be the next...we shall see where it goes....THANKS again @Mikeinjersey!

I'm actually going to see how much the wires show running UNDER the frame, below the frame/adapter next to the gas tank before I complete mine...can not run them ontop or the side of the adapter because of the saddle rubber bumper mounts for tank....and I don't know how the original wires were run on the 2008 pitbull (never taken one apart)....I think @Th3InfamousI is looking at one of the newer pitbull frames HDM has to see....because, with those saddle bumpers, you can not run the wires ON TOP or ON the side....Eric is looking, but I'm wondering if they ran them inside the square frames on the 2008+ PitBulls.....again, ERIC has a prototype K9 SQUARE frame....and his is a little different than the later Pitbull frames as well....and @Mr. Wright, the wire running would be the same with EFI or on a CARB.....my issue was that the EFI pump setup INSIDE the tank on a K9/Mastiff etc...is completely different on a 2008+ Pitbull tank...everything else, tank size etc with a carb will be the same.....

The Pitbull has a square backbone, so there was tons of room to run the wires through that tube
