Cones, cones, and more cones…hahaha they looks good, but so many bikes have them. Wanting to get a new breather but something a little different.
Was looking through posted pictures of bike, so many bikes. Here I am again for more direct opinions. Here is one I’m considering or something similar. Would anyone know about it? Pros/cons?

That air cleaner will probably work as long as the head mounting bolts line up. If it's for an evo engine, it will probably be ok, but you will have to make a few modifications. That appears to be a harley style cv air cleaner. You can look through the plexiglass and see the carb mounting bolts in the picture. CV carbs have mounting holes at roughly 9 o'clock, 2 o'clock, and 4 o'clock. The open hole is for the bowl vent on the carb. The air cleaner mounting holes on an S&S carb are about 12 o'clock, 8 o'clock, and 4 o'clock. They make adapters for mounting CV ac's to S&S carbs. You can find them on ebay. Because of the added thickness of the adapter, you will probably need some spacers behind the ac where it mounts to the heads.
There is a breather line that comes off the rear head and attaches to your stock backing plate. You will either have to route this breather to the ground or just disconnect the hose between the air cleaner and the in-line check valve. What's left of the breather line can just hang between the cylinders. Very little, if any oil will be ejected out of that breather.
Those open element ac's are cool looking, but if you ever get caught in the rain, it's a good idea to have a rain sock for the air cleaner. If the manufacturer doesn't offer one, you may be able to find a generic one that will fit.
