Ugh, an oil leak

Energy One
What I thought was my weekend car when I first got the bike has turned out to be the Pitbull. I've had the car in the driveway for the past couple weeks or however long I've had the bike and went to move the bike up onto the platform for my home gym to squeeze the car back in since it was supposed to storm hard last night and noticed another small puddle under where the bike was parked. It's not a lot so I'm not concerned it'll all leak out and blow the motor or whatever before I can routinely check fluid levels but it just sucks I'll have to try and find what's leaking and replace a seal or o-ring. Hopefully it's something on the surface and not something that's on the backside of the primary or something. I looked under the bike yesterday to see if I could see any drips but it's a little low for that. However, there is some oily grime on the tubes that make up the bottom side of the bike so it's probably something on the bottom of the engine or from the primary somewhere.

If it ain’t leaking a little you ain’t running it hard enough! Lol! Hope you find your gremlin. :chopper:

Hope you find the leak. Also be worth checking the overflow from the carb, usually routes down behind the engine and will look like a leak since it will attract dust or take oil/roadgrime with it.

Mske sure the primary DOES NOT have the 32oz as recc. In the manual, it will push oil into the starter.
I haven't come across this bit of info. Has this been a common issue or just something you've noticed? I haven't done my fluid change yet but was probably going to fill it until it reached the bottom of the clutch pack like I've seen most every cruiser bike call for, whether it took a full quart or not.

This has been common knowledge for several years. With a full quart, too much pressure for the starter shaft seal to hold back and you end up with oil in the starter.

I must not have finished typing my post about primary fluid. 16oz. is the correct amount. Sorry if there was confusion.

My 2000 bulldog oil line was leaking at the fitting from the compression oring inside. I replaced the oil filter housing with one that has hose barbed fittings and ran push lock hose for oil lines.
