Was wondering if anyone could tell me what this barbed elbow off the right bottom of this ‘06 Chopper gas tank is for? Can’t say I have ever seen one there before...

Just a plug is generally on it. Take a look at your 04 Ridgeback should be the same.
Not sure what is going on there, is it supposed to have a hose? Wondering if someone decided to plumb in the vent tube.

Thx Eric. This is a BigDog of a guy I met in town. He’s trying to get it up & running. He is going to be ordering some parts from you. He has a tuned induction air breather and there is a hook up on the back of it that doesn’t have a plug or hose on it either. I did check my ridgeback when I got home and it has a plug in that opening. So I just wasn’t sure what that elbow was for. I will check my S&S paperwork for the tuned induction kit and see if it is supposed to connect to that elbow. Would that be the vent tube you mentioned?
On another note. The rubber he has on his bike is 2006. He is having a hard time finding a 250/40/18 rear. 240/40/18 are readily available. Can he run this size instead? I noticed the difference is minimal but I just wasn’t sure.
Definitely would not go to the air cleaner. I would just unscrew it and plug it. Whatever someone else do or tried to do is unnecessary.
240 is fine just a hair narrower if y'all don't want to wait. 250 could be here in a few days or months nobody knows. 330 tires the date was August, then it kept getting pushed a few weeks at a time, now its just pushed to next year.
