K9 Wheel Bearings & Dust Seals

Energy One
Hello to all you Big Dog Bikers,
I'm changing my wheel bearings. I bought a press so I can do it myself because I no longer will take my bike to any mechanics after the Baker transmission issue.
I have a question about the front wheel bearing and dust seal. Does anybody know how far the dust seals go? should they be flush with the edge of the hub or should they touch the bearing?

Thanks for your input Mick,
I did set the seal flush but there's about a 1/4" gap from the bearing and seal. Makes me wonder how it keeps the dust out of the bearing. Perhaps the spacer in the seal helps too because it fits so tight.

Yes that’s the correct assumption. The spacer seats on the bearing. Fills the gap.
