Headlamp removal Q?

So , I have been attempting to change my headlamp .

I have read about it .

Problem , trim ring will not turn .

Set screws , First off there only one outer and one inner . Both spots are missing the second one, empty holes .

Removed front set screw and can't get ring to unscrew at all with rubber gloves I did spray some wd -40 around the seam, didn't look too promising to help but I did .

Well that's it , no turn / no unthread .
I have a rubber wheel meant for taking graphics off with a drill. Pretty much an gum eraser material, smells same when using . So been thinking about using it on the ring to get it to budge ?

Thanks .

Try cleaning the ring with alcohol real good to get all the grease/WD 40 off it if you haven’t already.

I will stand behind the headlight, facing the same direction as the light is shining with both hands and rubber gloves pull outward while rotating.

absolute worst case drill a hole it the ring and hammer it out with a drift and replace the ring.

I will try these things in this order .

Unless other Ideas come along .

Yeah I have it cleaned.

A. Two hands with gloves while pulling forwards .

B. Like 4 wraps with masking tape on the bit of ring exposed. One layer electrical tape on housing . Hoping to get more pressure on ring then the housing . And use fabric strap wrench.

C. Eraser whell .

D. Drill hole and drift pin. .

Missed one.....remove and replace with an Adjure bucket. No more stuck trim rings. Worked for me ....jmo.
