I realize this is an old thread but I'm in Cameron, NC. I bought my 02 Pitbull today, 8-7-21. I'll try to post a pic when I figure out how. Ok it was easier than I thought. What a great find, enjoy your new ride.
Welcome from Florida. Hey Brother great looking BigDog Pitbull. I am sure you will have some great times on that bike! I hope one day to do some riding in the mountains of N.C. again. Maybe next spring you can come to Tennessee for a few days for our BigDog Get Together. Great rides and Great People! Cheers!I realize this is an old thread but I'm in Cameron, NC. Congratulations and welcome! I think you have a bulldog there. The pitbull is a rigid frame. Inverted forks and a single arm swing arm tells me it's a bulldog.I realize this is an old thread but I'm in Cameron, NC. I bought my 02 Pitbull today, 8-7-21. I'm pretty sure the pitbull has always been a rigid. What I meant by "single arm" is the swing arm is a single post on each side as opposed to an "A arm" on most softails.Maybe I was told wrong. Title just says BGDG but it has a swingarm on both sides. Are all pitbulls rigid frames?
Yep, the bulldog has always been BDM's flagship model, until '09 when it became a bagger. Maybe not "flagship" anymore but taking the company in a new direction. Still very expensive when brand new.Cool, I feel like a dumb ass now. I should have done more research. Nada says the bulldog is worth a little more than the pitbull, I got mine for 4k so I'm in good shape either way.
Does it still have the Kerker stock exhaust? If it does, get a hold of Supertrapp. They probably still make a baffle for it.Thanks for setting me straight. I would have been really embarrassed when I told someone it was a pitbull, then I'd be the dumbass that doesn't know what he's riding!!! Now I have to find the baffle for this exhaust. Way to loud for me with the megaphone trumpet with no baffle at all!!!! Damn I'm getting old.
Bulldog rider in the Mooresville, NC area just north of Charlotte.![]()
