This file is from 2007 model but is probably pretty close to the 2009 if not the same. Read the whole document for some great info on how the Big Dog thinks. Toward the bottom you will find graphics of the EHC fault lights.

Ryan, check your plastic plug connector that your headlight bulb is plugged into. Is the plastic plug melted? To get to the plug remove headlight bezel and headlight retaining ring set and pull out head light lens assembly to inspect the plug. Also, are you running the stock halogen bulb or have you converted to LED. If LED what is the rating on low and high beam of this bulb. Also, if you have converted to LED do you still have stock EHC that came with the bike.
My light just burnt out. I replaced the EHC last year and am wondering if I can just plug in a LED light.

G-Dawg, I bought a inexpensive one off ebay for about $35, it's no longer offered. Curtis at Wild Steed Worx sells the one like I have. It would be best to give him a call because you want to make sure the watts rating for the low and high beam is compatible with your system. For example if the low beam didn't draw enough voltage the EHC wouldn't recognize it and default to High Beam. Also, it would be a good time to think about replacing your plastic headlight plug connector with a CERAMIC H4 Socket. Curtis sells the Cermic plugs. Ask for his advise.
Mahalo. Appreciate the help.
