Here's another area to be checked. I find it on Twin Cam heads also. The pressure relief port in the exhaust port gets plugged up frequently with oil, and carbon. When that happens, the relief pressure can't exit. I unclog with a steel rod, air pressure, and brake cleaner.

Does the compession release need removed to access this port ?

Thanks

YES. To clarify. The release needs to be removed so the relief port can get cleaned properly. If you don't remove it, the rod you're using will pack that area, and become a dead end when it hits the release.

Thanks very much.

I am going to reassemble and do the green wire off starter test. See if I get and audible response from the CR's. If I have the CR out I might as well replace it then if it doesn't respond electrically. I can feel the front one functioning, rear one I haven't felt any movement. Rear is moving manually with first press now, does seam to have more drag then the front when moving manually.

Carb is rebuilt now.

Took a couple weeks off to get some home projects done. Back on it now.

Update,

Engine starts, pretty well. Carb and starter repairs paid off .

Compression releases, probably need dealt with. No auditable sound with green wire off starter. Starting first stroke labored then spins real nice.

I have already cut CR boot and used wd-40

Looks like CR's I my near future.

Again, Thanks for everyone's help !
