Rokform case + handlebar mount

I just purchased a Rugged S case for my phone and a polished motorcycle handlebar mount and I couldn't be more pleased. I can trust this system to hold my Galaxy S9 plus with no regrets. I unboxed both and checked the interlock between them and the magnet was so strong it snatched the case from my hand. Now I can use it with a portable 500,000 mh charger I can hide in my tool bag (it has a hard case too) and GPS is now a reality. Way to go Rokform.

Would like to see pics of it mounted on the bike. I have an S10 and mounted it on the handle bars and got the idea to shoot some veido while riding. Starting up and low rpms it worked fine but the vibration blurred when reved up. Mabey a new mount or mabey an app or software? Ideas?

You can get a adapter that does from the battery tender connector to USB so that while going down the road you can power the phone/GPS rather than rely on portable charger. I've been doing this for years.
Without extra power GPS as a rule will probably kill the battery in around 3.5-4hrs

Jersey Big Mike. Where did you purchase an adopter from your battery tender connection to your phone? First I've heard of this. On line, in store purchase? Thanks. Jersey James

You can find them on aliexpress or even deltran (battery tender people) make one that usually in auto stores at least near me.
I have another unit that I use that mounts to the handle bars and is voltmeter and 2 usb plugs with a switch (aliexpress)

before USB adapters were so common, I used to use a battery tender to cigarette lighter adapter (then cigarette to usb) which had/has the advantage of also allowing use of a small compressor if you need it on long trips. Although my current plan is to change the connector on my travel compressor.

All great ideas, Jersey Big Mike. THANKS!!! On my choppers I have zero storage, not even a tool bag. I just ride wearing a vest, fill the pockets with phone, cigars, glasses. I do have the Premium AAA card in my pocket, to me worth the price, we only have two sneakers on the road, and no spare, and anyone can get a flat, so it does occasionally comes in handy.

Oh, I know the value of AAA Premium RV -- much like my AE card I don't leave home without it.
Most of the time I don't use the GPS but there are times when it much easier for me to be told my turn is 1/2 mike up rather than trying to read (sometime non-existant) road signs. GPS is a backup to my sense of direction. Even on long runs I check the maps ahead and get an idea what roads I want to take and some option usually, so if I do miss a turn I'm usually not totally screwed. Did miss one come home from the farm this year that took me a bit out of the way.

I've been looking at different phone mounts & saw your post from last year. How's that Rockform set up working for you? Some pics would be great if you get the chance. Thx

Hey Mike.... You probably won't get a response from Ron, AKA blackdogg6164 since he hasn't been on here since June 28, 2020.

yea........ been kinda busy working on it. I did have to relocate it because I added a sound system so it is closer to my wind screen now. I will send pics. sorry about the late response. had a death in my family last July and legalities, work and life have had me busy.

You can get the Battery Tender USB adapters with built in volt meters as well. I have one and use it. Voltage indication works well, and it keeps my phone charged. It is a nice bar mount for the phone. I wonder how well the phone will hold up with the vibrations from the bars/bike. I have an IPhone 14, and I have read on several placed that these new phones don’t like the constant vibration, so if the phone breaks, those manufactures won’t cover it.

I ended up purchasing the polished mount & just recently upgraded to a S23+, so I purchased their Rugged Case for it as well. Before that I had an old S8 Active, with an Amazon "knock-off" otterbox case that I used the Rokform universal adapter on. I've not had any issues with the vibration, but then again I haven't been able to ride a whole lot this year. Rokform also added a vibration dampener to their accessories lineup, if that is a concern. I didn't purchase it, as it only comes in black right now. If the metal part of the dampener was polished, I would have probably purchased it as well.
