Looks awesome! Salute!Well, I think I have exhausted all avenues for putting on a belt drive, so in my frustration I made this tonight for my front primary cover. View attachment 78680View attachment 78681

Now that’s damn funny, I don’t care who you are! Really they just look good but in real application more trouble than they are worth.Had a friend years ago that put an open belt on his, it sounded so much like a washing machine if he stalled at a light we'd toss quarters at him to tell him to change to the rinse cycle!
Sounds like a good call! That really does look awesome on there!I think I’ll wait for the trans to die before I do all that. The cost to benefit just isnt there.
Plus I like the way my gulf war challenge coin is mounted on the primary. I made that last night and it didn't cost me anything.
Plus its $8500, I could buy a whole other bike for that! I am going to just work with what I have. The Ulitma only fits the 04 and older LHD
Actually I think it is the whole bike pictured.Plus its $8500, I could buy a whole other bike for that! I am going to just work with what I have.
My wife would kill me if I brought home a 4th bike, lol! I already have 3 bikes and a Rubicon Jeep.Actually I think it is the whole bike pictured.
Does the trans need to be moved to a different spot? Is that why you would have to cut and weld another one in? I think the mounting pattern to the frame is the samebacking plate bolt pattern to the trans won't line up, starter isn't the main issue.
@Jersey Big Mike pretty much covered it. Cut and weld on different trans mount then put in a different trans then you can go to the belt drive. So it's possible just a full tear down.

Yes, Mr. Wright checked the mounting plates and there is about 1" difference in trans locationDoes the trans need to be moved to a different spot? Is that why you would have to cut and weld another one in? I think the mounting pattern to the frame is the same
I wonder if there is enough room to slot the holes to move the trans over? Besides wanting an open primary Im worried about parts becoming obsolete for this primary. Right now we are ok but who knows for how long and I owned my last bike before my Mastiff for 19 years...Yes, Mr. Wright checked the mounting plates and there is about 1" difference in trans location
Right, which is why I will wait until this trans dies or the primary goes, something that I have to do, its my understanding Baker doesn't make our transmissions anymore either so we will all end up having to do a trans swap at some pointYou have to change the transmission also
I with you and Eric on this i dont think it will be that hard to do either...It looks like an easy job. Eric and I were comparing two frames side by side. Hopefully I can get a jig made this winter
Motor, trans and belt drive...Actually I think it is the whole bike pictured.
Said rolling chassis alsoMotor, trans and belt drive...
