He's not open on sunday, so he was going to open for us and just for the dyno runs.

That being said, I think its only good to make the call Friday. That way he can schedule his weekend as he see fits. I don't want to put the guy out.

Cutter was saying on the phone that the wet conditions may not be good for the dyno runs.

I will call him Friday and tell him we're down to 3 bikes.
Good call Gas, let me know, because I'm still pushing to get my bike back.

I just got back from being caught in the rain - soaked! I'm not trusting my bike right now for any long ride... so I'm out!

I noticed you were "popping" like a mo'fo' during the ride to hell. I figured you need to adjust the mix screw a little, but you left before I did, andI didn't mention anything...
Is that it, only worse? ...sounds like it could be the same problem Dave is having...

They are saying:
Sunday: partly sunny during the morning. Mostly cloudy during the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms during the morning, then scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs 76 to 80. Southwest winds 5 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
Sunday Night: partly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows 59 to 63. Chance of rain 30 percent.

 If you guys are in, I will keep my day open for it... or if anyone wants to grab a beer, I could improvise with "Jack" :D

I will be riding in the U.P. the first 2 weekends in July, but think a reschedule might be best to get Dave, Doug and Alicat...

Naahh, I was riding yesterday and all of a sudden little by little, I hear a grinding noise coming from the front end. and it's was getting louder and louder. Finally to the point where I can actually feel it in the handlebars. Unfortunitly I was way out in Brighton at the time. I stopped at an ACE hardware and got some spray lube and soaked it a few times, and stopping about every 5 miles to spray it again. It seemed to alleviate the grinding noise but I won't feel comfortable with it until I have the front wheel bearings changed.

I got a message into the guy. He's in the dyno room now... so waiting on a call back. I will call you Cutter and alhall when I hear back. The problems for the day is possible weather, and then also the number of bikes.

Well we cancelled it. Better for the dyno guy sense we went from 6 bikes to 3. Too many things telling us not to do it...

Then I get a call tonight and we dropped another bike!! So good thing we cancelled.

That makes 7 fuckin bikes I know that are down right now!! FUCKIN 7!!!

Gas,
Sorry it didn't work out, and thanks again for trying to put a dyno day together. If you want to try again I would be up for it, if I have a bike that is running properly!

Well, I definately pissed my Dog off... I guess the 12-14" of water in the "Lodge Lake" (the Lodge is a local highway that flooded) was the final "straw" after all of the water I have put her through this year...:zzdisappointed:

BTW, I don't know about the new Ridgebacks, but the K9's with the 300's - DO NOT Float...:bang: even though people have suggested that they might. :loony:

She stalled about 40 miles later on dry roads, with the EHC lights and horn going "crazy", and I had her towed home.:toily:

I opened everything up and left a dehumidifier running in the garage all weekend...
She is dry and running again, but the tach is still completely out?

I will check into another speedo, but still take her up to the U.P. this weekend, hopefully no problems. :2thumbs:

not enough time 4 riding
Cutter,

damned glad that your problems turned out to relatively minor. A Big Dog on a flat bed tow truck is definitely not a pretty picture (and the the tow bill is even worse).

Cutter,
Todd saw you on the e-way but your bike was still running. He said you were going about 20 miles an hour and were getting your ass handed to you in heavy rain. If you ever have problems again give me a call, my brother has an enclosed trailer that is set up for our bikes. The dealership is now working with S&S trying to get my bike figured out, another 2 plus weeks in the shop. I'm starting to wonder if owning a BD is in my best interest, what a shame. Have fun up north and call if you have problems.

That would be an accurate description...
I almost made it home... probably would have made it home if I wouldn't have stopped and shut down while the tach was acting squirrely :bang:

Good luck, about time they looked for some more/better advise.

Thanks, I finally got my air cleaner... no time to put it on though
I will leave tomorrow morning - after the storm.

Hopefully we can get the dyno re-setup before the "Chopper Show" downtown in Aug :2thumbs:
