Back on the road

Finally picked up my Mastiff on Thursday after having the EHC replaced, which failed when the Mid-Atlantic group was riding to Rolling Thunder. While the Dog was in the shop, I had the Easy Pull clutch installed. Didn't do much riding Thursday, so today was the first time I really got some riding in.

The Easy Pull clutch is almost too soft and took a little bit of time to get used to it. But I can now find neutral with the engine running without having to raise the RPMs.

I thought that the carb adjustment was off a little bit, so I was playing around with the idle speed and air fuel mixture. I ran in to get a screwdriver after I had gone for a short ride and left the Dog running. I took out my earplugs and decided that the exhaust was much louder than I thought it was, guess it will set off car alarms in the parking garage at work.

Steve great news to hear your up and good. Did they fix all the shakey looking wiring as well? I suppose the new battery is holding up well. Can't wait to get another ride together with you/Fiber/Bruce/Luphole/Shredder/JimiZee/BigDogSarge/ChaCha/Hoat and whoever else would like to ride along. We need to do that soon. What say you guys?

at this point Sunday the 10th is looking good for me. I can be at the Mt.Airy meeting point early Sunday morning. As usual. Let's discuss a destination as the week goes along. I can hook up with Bruce/BigDogSarge/EVL2WN and JIMIZEE say early Sunday morning at the Big Falls and we can ride out together to MT.Airy to meet, Fiber, TOOMANY, LUPHOLE,SHREDDER,HOAT( if he's up to it and has one of his bikes available) and anyone else that wants to ride from there. There's a starting concept.

Which one will have rain? Just kidding, but we are getting our share this year also.

BigBlue, I had to redo the wires on the battery terminals. My Scorpio alarm had been disconnected and the main wire was not the top wire on each terminal. I also got rid of the Battery Tender pigtail which looked very suspicious so everything looks OK now. The only things that I plan on doing are replacing the exhaust gaskets to see if that helps with the popping and putting on the K&P oil filter
