My inner primary on my Bulldog Bagger is leaking at the front, so I have to pull everything to get too it. Does anyone have any tips on putting on the new gasket to prevent it from leaking again.

SKOGDOG

One of the old ones.
I recently changed my K9 from a Karata open primary back to stock. Be sure to clean everything with brake cleaner (the grooves for the O-rings, etc. Then follow the manual for torques, etc. I think there are 6 or 8 small O-rings on the bolts, and one larger one on the housing, and another on the starter, all on the engine side. Well depicted oin the Manual. I’ve ridden several thousand miles since the switch without a problem.
Kind of a PITA to tear down the whole thing for a pissy little oil leak, but whattya gonna do? Gives you a chance to look at your clutch (measure stack height) too. I don’t know if you have experience with clutch disassembly, but using a couple of magnets gets the discs out of that basket quick like....

You sure it’s the inner? I swore mine was leaking, almost all year holding out for the winter, driving me insane all the way.

I had to replace the stator in a hurry, and just replaced the outer seal and was delighted to find out is was the outer the whole time. they are cheap and easy, so might be worth a try.

Also, check the exposed fasteners for the inner. What I got my bike they were loose and one actually missing.

I'm pretty sure it's the inner, I have wiped it down twice just to verify, but WTH I go and see if anything is loose.

I was so sure mine was too. I was shocked to find out it when away when I changed the outer seal.
