...

It’s any market really. I own a boat dealership. And we’re booming. Seeing sales and service like never before. My struggle, is I no longer have inventory to sell because the manufactures are shut down... motorcycles I’m sure are quite different due to the volume they’re used to selling. But keep in mind, even tho they’re not selling product as much, they’re also not paying as much to employees either.....

Hi: Booming economy you pay premium because someone else bought your _______ fill in the blank.
Lo: Bust economy you are in a window where product is stockpiled and a fire sale to get rid of it.

Hi: Where you hunt for the cheap price and you ate it at that price.
Lo: It's even cheaper but could you have predicted this downturn?

Hi: It was such a hot market I was greedy and waited for the top price.
Lo: Shit, I sold it for less than I bought it for, but at least this month's payment is 'sheltered by the storm'.

Hi: I think I'll wait for the price to go down, maybe.
Lo: I couldn't help it, I bought two.

Hi: Walk in a dealer and they name the price.
Lo: Walk in now, that one bike is piling up the interest loan to keep it on the floor, a buyer's market it is.

Hi: A new Rolex is 10k. A used Rolex is 14k, because you can't buy new is the waiting list for new ones.
Lo: A used Rolex is the pulse of the economy and maybe, just maybe it's less than retail. There is your economic gauge.

But then again, what the Paul Newman do I know? (his personal Rolex sold for over 17 million)

I know how quickly I sold mine for days ago and how many were interested.

If you looking to buy there are deals, and if you need to move the bike there are buyers.

In my case both of us ended up happy.

less than 24hrs -- I was in shock.
Sold a condor chock almost as fast.
Couple of weeks ago sold a set of RS Mach One speakers (15" woofers) in about a day -- dude drove 1.5hrs to come get them.

Got to see what else I can sell!
Where did you sell the BD through? Like eBay CL. Etc.

This surprised me, you can’t go out to eat, you can’t go to see a movie, you can’t go sit in the park or on the beech. But you can fire up your bike and take a nice 2-3 hr ride on some beautiful roads. I do it 2-3 days a week. When I get off from the rigs, I get one of mine out and get out CeCe’s. With Colleen and all 3 kids in the house the boys drive her and CeCe up the wall most days. A few hrs away and some wind therapy makes a huge difference in the girls life. Colleen gets on the back Of either my Bigdog or Ultra Classic and CeCe gets on her Honda Rebel and follows us. On some North West Louisiana back roads. Yesterday we did a easy 60 mile loop. It got them out of the house and they talked all evening about the different things they saw. It amazes me with so many in their homes not working that an easy once a week outing would break up the routine and give them something to look farward to. I mean honestly @ $2.20 per gal it’s some cheap entertainment. Motorcycles should be flying out of stores.

And that’s exactly why my boat shop is doing so well because that’s their mentality. If they can’t do anything, they can at least get on a boat and chill with close friends and family

Lakes here in Louisiana are full of boaters, most are fishing with their family. Sheriffs office watch to make sure flotillas don’t start happening. But for the most part it’s been a huge help I think in people able to break the everyday sitting at the house for people. I’m on the road everyday going to my rig and I see a lot more boats behind trucks than bikes on the road. Again I’m surprised!

I’ve been trying to sell my Malibu Responce ski boat. I’ve had it at a dealer trying to sell it for about a year I think I’m gonna go ahead and pick it up that way at least I can bring the kids out skiing in a week or two when it warms up a little bit more

$2.20 a gallon, I think that's a typo. Regular is $1.22 today and QT 93 is $1.79

Sorry to say but your Malibu dealer sucks if they’ve had it for a year and can’t sell it.. I sold Malibu’s for 13 years, there’s a small pocket of response owners out there, but they’re there and will buy. Especially with new responses hitting 80+k
