Switching from stock bars to Apes

That's kinda what I was thinking too, but to each their own. Going to a traditional set up with risers does give you the ability to adjust your riding posture a little though.

I have an '05 pitbull. My speedo is in the tank dash, so I didn't have to deal with that.

If you can't find a mount for the risers, I would surely think someone makes a handlebar clamp.

I'm unfamiliar with the pre-04. Do you have a tach? Where are the indicator lights? Post a pic if you can.

If you can't find a mount for the risers, I would surely think someone makes a handlebar clamp.

What if I switched the speedo out for one of those smaller digital ones? Would that work attached to the straight risers?

Yeah, seems like it would work. There are dozens of companies making parts for choppers. Just do a little research. You will find something that works.

This one has a clamp that you can purchase with it and it mounts directly to the risers, which then enables you to add the digital speedo

Honestly, something for that shouldn't be hard to find. Like I said, I never had to deal with that, but surely something can be done. I'll look around and see if I can find something.

I stand corrected. That does seem to be a hard part to find. Is your speedo 2 5/8"? If you can't find something, the digital may be the way to go.

I “think” is 2 1/2”. (Might be 2 5/8”).. I just need to call big dog Monday and start from there...

Digital might be the way to go though...

I just look at the 2020 HD Street Bob (which has about the size bars I want to add to mine) and they have a digital speedo mounted directly to the bars

BTW picture two is a West Coast Choppers CFL frame. Great look but the dumbest bike I ever rode. Do you know how hot that oil tank is. At red lights you have to sit on the fender to avoid burning your ass. Not warm, hot - flaming hot.

I actually thought about suggesting that you may be able to make something for the guys that want to switch bars, but I didn't want to line you up for work that you may not want to do.

I make quite a few custom parts, and when asked, I do sometimes say no, or suggest a better option.
