These wide flathead screws require a wide tip but a handheld screwdriver with a wide 3/8" tip has a long handle that doesn't fit within the confines.
The longer screwdrivers, even if you cut them down, have either a round shaft or a square shaft so neither could accept a socket.
This kit contains a stubby 3/8" tip flathead but it's on backorder:
In the interim you can find a 3/8" flathead bit at Autozone and use an 8mm wrench to turn it.
