Bike looks good, price looks good, but what year is it?

Advertised as an '04 with a 124ci engine.
The engine looks like a 117 corresponding to '04 as do the hand controls but the wheels and primary look like an '03.
Wasn't 04 the first and worst year for BDM electronics since they moved away from Harley wiring and did their own?

The Ad say 2004 so I guess its a 2004. I don't know about the 124 but he may have changed the motor.

It's defiantly an 04 chopper, but that's not a 124ci engine. It's a 107ci. That is a really good buy, and that bike with ride a lot smoother than a K9. Looks like a Rolling thunder frame. I'd buy it.
I can make you some forward control brackets, so it will fit you better.

when I zoom into the nose cone it looks like says 117ci which would correspond to an 04.
It is tempting, my fear is the electrical on an 04. My 04 Ridgeback had electrical issues, tough to diagnose. By comparison my 01 HD never has electrical issues which is why I'm really looking for an 03 since they still used the HD wiring then

Well if it still has the stock EHC, replace it with one from Curtis. Seems like most complaints came from the EHC acting funny. And dont forget to change out the VR. They will ruin the EHC if they go bad.

The EHC and VR are just pull the old and stick in the new so I could live with that but there's other issues with the BDM controls/wiring, e.g. the start button, the hazards, etc, maybe it's the hand controls, maybe the wiring but I haven't had those issues on other bikes. the HD hand controls I know work and I prefer to stick with what I know, when possible. Maybe if the seller's desperate who knows but otherwise I'll hold out for an 03 which also has the bombproof 107

Well 04 had 107 or 117 in the later part of the year....any big dog u buy is going to need attention...and s&s as far as im concerned makes the baddest engines on two wheels...nothing about these bikes that cant be fixed..there is so much upgraded parts now electrical wise...that bike is a steal in my opinion...

A steal, yes, for the right person.
In my case, dealing with the electrical and removing/covering the purple portions of the paint will take me from $5500 to $7500 and at the latter price, the 03s are out there to be had and with 2 other bikes, I can wait.
