OK folks, two weeks away from taking possession of a 2004 Chopper. I WILL be putting a set of V&H Big Radius on this bike. This is a LSD bike, V&H says they do not make the Big Radius for 04 with LSD. Who has been down this path? I'm looking for some help with installation, bracket, jetting etc. Are you running with baffles in or out? I appreciate any help you can offer a first time Big Dog owner.

You should be able to get a set for a H-D softtail Preferrabely evo style. TC may work also. will probably bolt right up.

Just don't... there are so many better options...

And you might want to change your "my bike"

I put the Big Radius on my 2003 Chopper.
I ordered the set for HD Softail. I made a flattened version of the bracket that came with it. The bracket was offset a couple of inches for a stock softail. You won't need the offset for a 250mm tire.
I have seen pictures of left side drive installs, where the Big Radius aren't lined up right. I think they used the included bracket.
The pipes will be closer to your frame than the pipes made for RSD, but I haven't been close to scraping mine yet. My frame is black, if yours is a lighter color the heat may discolor it.
I called V&H about jetting and they couldn't tell me anything, so I jetted the same as recommended for the newer RSD 117" bikes. I figured it would be close and it has worked well for me for over a year.

Gas Man, Changed "My Bike" in user profile. What are the better options that you are referring to?
There are a ton of pipes available for softail applications that with a little tweek will fit a rolling thunder frame on your 04. Mines an 03 and I put these Hookers on it!

I too have a 04 Ridgeback...LSD and have been told about 50 different versions of they dont make them to they will fit just fine....I still dont have them on my scoot!!!! The issue with me is i dont want extra holes in the frame if the bracket does not fit properly...Let me know what you end up doing and I will do the same...and good luck!!!!:D

I welded a bracket to my lower frame tube. If you the least bit handy you can make yourself a bracket that will mount to your tranny ot where the original exhaust mounted. I just did'nt want the bracket showing so I made it to hide behinde the pipes. A lot of pipes have a visible bracket, I'm just kinda anal about it and it does count for custom points in shows if you make it hidden.

I'm running a set of V&H BR on my 04 Chopper RT and they've been there since I bought the bike. You just need to tweak the mounting bracket a bit to get them to fit right but they work great :2thumbs:
