Shredder, that is the part number cover I bought. So... here is a funny ( but not so funny while it was happening) story about this cover.
Today I was turning thru a traffic light at Walmart. Just like that, BOOM no clutch and stuck in gear with the eninge running. I managed to shut the engine down but now I'm blocking both directions of traffic. I managed to reach down and get it in netural by hand during the horn blowing and screams to get the F" out of the way. I push my bike about 75 yards up hill in to the parking lot. Now, I get out my tool bag, get out my handy allen wrench set on a folding handle and guess what? No size in the wrench set fits the HD cover screws. So.... I march in to Walmart and buy a bag of allen wrenchs and it contains both metric and American sizes. Also 2 small crescent wrenchs to loosen the cable adjuster to see if I can readjust the cable or if it's broken completely. I march out to the bike and find that NONE of these allen wrenchs is the right size as well. Now I'm frustrated. I go back inside, and look at another set of allen wrenchs only on a folding handle deal like I already have only more sizes to it. I buy them. I go back outside and now it's pouring down raining!! Full blown thunderstorm. I run to the bike, soaking wet. ( of course Iparked way down the lot to keep most of the spectators away) I try these untill finally, presto, one of them finally fits. I take the cover off and sure enough the adjustment lock nut had been rubbing against the HD chrome cover and that made it loosen and back off... thus the instant, no clutch. I readjust it and leave the cover off. I know the lock nut was tight because it never happened while the rubber soft boot was on it and it certainly didn't get loose just screwing the cover over the adjuster and After all the adjustment nut and adjuster are chrome anyway. I pull out of the parking lot, and as the right hand turn light goes green the pickup truck right in front of me with about 40 4X4 X10 foot long lumber posts in the bed takes off and they come flying out in all directions. I barley escaped not getting wiped out by the flying and bouncing 4X4 posts. What a fine day it has been!!
Moral of the story is.... if your using this cover BE SURE to use some blue loctite on the adjustment lock nut so this doesn't happen to you and your stuck somewhere that you can't get any tools or help. Luckily it happened to me at the has everything store Walmart.
