I told him about this one. It is a crap shoot if it's really never been ridden there could be a few issues. And realistically you should go through the entire bike, to make sure it's safe. Breaks, Forks, etc. Most of the guys who even bought low mileage baggers with the EFI have had some issues. Most likely I suspect if gas has been sitting that long the tank liner is gone, which is rather expensive to NOT ruin the paint and the fuel pump needs to be replaced. Not a huge deal, but I would start there for sure.

But in the end who really knows if its an easy fix or if the whole engine needs to be rebuilt. Could cost $500 or a few thousand!

Based on the cleaning it needs that will take well over 20 hours of Labor and hopefully the chrome isn't pitted or rusted. I saw an 04 chopper that hasn't moved in 3-4 years the rotors were rusted bad and chrome was pitting. Needed a new inner and outer primary and new rotors and rebuild the calipers. Also the front cylinder had a knock. The guy wanted wanted $7k I was generous and offered 5 and he didn't take it. I suspect he still has it.

He bought the bike from the guy that had all the bikes in the pics. Some place in Florida that bought several after a dealer closed I’m assuming.

Had the bike shipped to MI and paid someone 1000 to fix it, but could not get it running. He’s under the impression that it needs “new computer and wiring”, as told by his Harley mechanic who charger him a grand and didn’t fix it.

He claims all those bikes had zero miles on them.

I asked for some pics under the seat and side covers.

Actually made him an offer, so we will see. He is firm on price. He is loosing his but on it.
