Bike has problems starting

The bike has new battery and the bike will not start even when its been fully charged. Hook it up to jumper cables and it will start right up. Is there any battery recommendations? Or any other suggestions are appreciated.

Do you know how many CCAs, Cold Cranking Amps, it is designed for?
Everstart is supposed to be made in Michigan so it should be a decent battery as long as it has at least 300CCAs.
Put your finger on the top of each compression release. Press down just enough to feel the plunger top under the silicone cap. When you press "Start" button to start the motor does the plunger pull away from your finger.
If it does then the compression releases are functioning. If they do not then they are not functioning and if the CCAs are low enough on the new battery then it could cause a no start situation.

Depending on what system you have the releases may or may not stay down continuously as for example the stock ehc I hope this helps you out Vincent.

Does the bike spin freely? Then no compression = No Start.
Does the bike smell of gas during the cranking? Then no spark = No Start.
Does the bike not smell of gas? Then the tank is empty = No Start.

Jumping it will tell you if the battery is any good Vincent.

Been in the Automotive industry for 30 odd years and have standardized my thinking to two separate inquiry when considering the statement "It won't start".
1. Cranks, won't start?
2. Won't crank.
If when posting a no start concern, if one of these descriptions is included, you'll have a better chance at getting the proper help from the Team.
Just my two cents.

I have heard jump starting can take the computer out...be careful.
It can and will dman4 if the vehicle is running, the BDM electrical system is low voltage and a cars alternator puts out way too much juice! But any 12 volt battery will work to jump just don’t cross connections I know that sounds obvious but many have.

I purchased MATCO versa power for road trips. Mini charger is easy to carry and is a great back up. Little shit will jump pretty much any thing. Haven't tried to jump a diesel yet but they say it will. I get absolutely freaky when using car jumper cables and you're right, most people just jump from a running vehicle and don't know any different.
That versa power also makes for a great phone charger or Go/PRO charger while you're out on a rockin' road trip.
