Rear Shock Removal

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. I have a question on rear shock removal. I am trying to remove the shocks on my 06 K9. I need to do this so that I can replace a few of the transmission bolts. Shocks need to swing down or be removed for access. I have looked though the thread and How To sections and have not found anything. I am trying to be careful, especially with the bike up in the air. Everything is tight. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanx
