422 progressive fit

imho I have no interest in the discussion the 422’s will just not fit without making modifications to the frame or the shock!
I know this is a touchy subject lately !
Best of luck to those installing them looking forward to being proved wrong!
Yes I could modify some shit to make it work but I question limitations and speciations, on strength and stability ! I own a bbc with progressive shocks installed and a rigid so I have no interest in either. Just stating what I witnessed and tried .
If it works hell yeah to the guy who cracked the code and not the frame !

I just ordered a set of 422s for my coyote after a long discussion with a person on the fb page he explained in detail how to install them on a 300 tire big dog but mine is a 250 tire in which case the shocks will bolt right in and was confirmed by the dealer I ordered them from.
The 422s have a sharpish lip on the tail end of the barrel. I fitted mine in the Bulldog Ok and ran it fine for 6 months until I found a pile of oil on the drive one day. My advice to all who fit these is PLEASE CHECK and make sure your oil lines are well clear of the rear of the shocks barrel. The vibration of the motor and operation of the shocks had chafed through the braided oil line on this lip - So ensure electric wires pipes are angled and tied back well out of the way. I forgot to check and paid the price! The 422 barrels took up so much room and I couldn't guarantee good clearance I finally took them out and refitted narrow shocks back in.

Imo what’s i witnessed on a k9 is that the 422’s wouldn’t fit no matter what I tried .
Not saying it couldn’t work just stating trying to make them mount .

I think the Bulldogs had a bit more space under the frame than the newer K9 appear to have - thats what I have picked up from reading various posts on here. Anyhow, If the 422s had a rounder tail end I would probably have got away with it

Unfortunately I did not take notes on the process but I do know that if the shocks get sent to the person I spoke with he and his team will get the fitment correct along with the required updated hardware.
I'm very interested in getting the 422's on my K-9 -- do you know the guys name on facebook that I need to talk to? It would be appreciated.

Been a lot of discussion about the fitment or lack thereof. Apparently I missed the discussion on what the value, perceived or actual is.

Anything specific other than generic “better ride” ?

I need heavier duty preferrably adjustable shocks -- I'm a big dude -- stock shocks are not real good if I'm riding 2 up

I forgot to mention a minor detail on the 250 tire bikes, the oil line must be loosened and adjusted so the shock body does not run through other than that as long as your have a 250 tire , left side or right side drive the shocks will bolt right in. Yes I do know the names of the guys doing it , although they don’t mind mentioning their names here I was told by them that banned members were not allowed to be mentioned on the forum.
If you don't want to mention here I understand. Please message me on facebook mike volk, my profile page has a pic of my k-9 (no pic of me with name though) -- thanks.

I am putting my heavy duty 422s up for sale on Ebay uk next week they are vitually new having only done a total of 48 hours max in my dog. Even with shipping from Uk they will still be pretty cheap in comparison I think.

Does it really matter. Just another hiding behind a screen name trying to stir the pot.

All I know is if there is a way to make the 422's fit the K-9, I'd personally like to see the instructions/modifications.
I'm not looking to tear down the bike and try to figure it out -- I'd prefer to know what to do before I take the bike apart.

With that in mind, if anyone knows how, or who can and will tell me how, please feel free to PM me here or reach me on facebook.

Why would you even think you have to qualify this statement by saying you aren't ker or dentdude. Dont forget your meds this morning and check your resting heart rate.

You know it's your enthusiasm that gives it away.
I was starting to think bi-polar but is there such a thing as tri-polar...---...
Don't know about the tripolar thing, but he's obviously got a severe case of the
