I Never seen a Arlen Ness kickstand. So cannot comment, however my original stand functioned without an issue, other than I didn't like the way it leaned. If you gassed it up on the original stand you would be almost 3/4 of a gallon shy of being fully rated for the tank. With my new stand I fill it up to the bottom of the splash ring. No issues so far. I have about 2 hundred miles on the new kickstand so I am keeping an eye on the ware as SS might be a little softer than the original. I kept the 1 inch over stock just in case... The old saying if you are riding, then you hardly use the kickstand. Makes sense but here in Oklahoma the really bad months are January and February and it is just about too cold to ride. Other than that I love the cooler weather, no sweat running down your back. Throttle up!!!
