Mine too so I drilled a hole through the mounting plate and pressed in a roll pin as a stop. Worked.I was wondering about this because I appears like my bike leans over a lot further than it originally did. When inspecting the kickstand, it seems it is worn and like someone else said, allows it to come too far forward, thus lowering the bike. It is starting to make me nervous.
Got a part #.....??Got an Arlen Ness kickstand from Bikers Dream...quality product, looks good and no spring !!![]()
I think its the bikes that are never rode and always on the kickstand that go bad. It's the dogs way of saying "get the hell out and ride this thing".
Sorry I don't Hip but Bikers Dream knows which oneGot a part #.....??
You have a pic of exactly what you did? I am trying to visualize it but haven't slept in a while so struggling to do so!Mine too so I drilled a hole through the mounting plate and pressed in a roll pin as a stop. Worked.![]()
Hahaha...No problem, I'll take a close up tonight and post it. Mine was about to go past the stop from wear so I pinned it so it can't go any further than where I put the roll pin. It goes all the way through and sticks out both sides so that the pressure from the kickstand is shared on both sides of the plate. Did it a year and 1/2 ago and so far so good. Cost nothing. Had pins and drill bit.You have a pic of exactly what you did? I am trying to visualize it but haven't slept in a while so struggling to do so!
