02 Pro Sport Clutch adjustment...

Hey Guys I have looked on you tube and found some good info but I cannot get the nut loose to adjust the clutch on my 02. 11/16 nut will not break free.

Any suggestions on how to get it loose? Maybe put the rear tire on the ground and use a socket to break it free?

Its not reverse threaded is it?

I already adjusted it from the cable but sometimes I am getting a surge with the clutch handle pulled all the way in. That is why I am trying it this way.

I have to agree Shannon , non of the You Tube videos show a reversed thread when they break it loose. But its not coming loose, is it usually this tough to break loose?

Has anybody ever had to take and impact to the 11/16 nut in the middle of the hub?

Tried again this morning and finally got it to break free. I don't know why it was so tight for a jam nut.

Yea I cranked up the Jam music and thats what did it.

The reversed thread is on the clutch hub nut after the 11/16 jam nut is removed.

just a reminder that you loosen the cable before you adjust the throwout screw
