Anyone else have an issue

Ordered a two up seat from BigDog in Wichita 3 weeks ago, was told it was in stock by both Bob and Chris. Still haven't received the seat but credit card was charged that day. I'm less than three hours drive time from Wichita. Is this normal? After talking to them last week, was told it would be dropped shipped to me by Tuesday of this week. Still a no show. Is this normal operating procedure? I called today and got a message they were closed due to inventory. What inventory?

Your seat:). Sorry man. 3hrs I would drive up and get the seat or the money but I'm somewhat hard headed.

That would be upsetting, I haven't dealt with them but I would hope this is not standard procedure?

I got mine in just a few days but I ordered it from Donna and Derek.

HDM, Inc., Derek and Donna, are the "real" Big Dog parts providers.
Hey, don't assault me with hate mail about "Big Dig is back".
If you bought from them beginning in 2016 great but they haven't done anything for the previous BD owners so I'm not of the school that they should get "everyone's" business. Just because you buy a name doesn't make you the supreme leader.
In my mind you take care of the 50,000 that came before because their likely to be your future customer's also.
I'm juz sayin.

I do know that Matt talked of relocating the shop. Dont know if that is completed or not? Perhaps its related to the move?

Well, after much worrying and waiting, about 4 weeks, I just got a call from my business that my two up seat showed up. Crossing my fingers it's the correct seat that fits my bike.
Here is the issue I was having with whole ordeal. I was originally told the seat was in stock but it was their last one in stock. If I wanted it in a couple of days, on my doorstep, I had to say yes right then. So I jumped on it.
Needless to say, after several weeks, a couple of phone calls, maybe a broken promise, it's here!
Now, in answer to a couple of folks who asked or suggested I should have called someone else to order the seat. I saved enough money buying the seat from BigDog over the other supplier to pay for my new 300 Avon rear tire. So, at the time it seemed like a no brainer to me.
I do want to thank everyone who responded to my post.

Glad you love a love story Frank. I got the seat finally, appears to be correct seat. I also received a second seat, mistakenly sent. I assume there was some miscommunication between manufacturing and big dog. Will be contacting Matt and sending second seat back to big dog.

That made me laugh :) Cant get one seat in a reasonable time so now you have 2 :chopper:

I'm going to guess that being closed due to inventory has something to do with filing taxes. I only say this because the Triumph Dealer in New Orleans also closes for inventory and it's to get an accurate value for filing taxes. I don't know if this is once a year or every quarter. I've never been involved with a business either so all I'm doing is guessing. I wish I didn't have to file taxes. I can't imagine what it's like for a business.:(
