Aww yes, the old mouse chewing on the wires problem!
A couple years ago he had some wires chewed by a mouse or mice and if they are bare, and wet ...well??. Just trying to cover the bases for Mr. EDAww yes, the old mouse chewing on the wires problem!
Seriously though, I'm sure that it's water shorting out something, this is why i still have never washed my bike yet, probably would be fine, but maybe not....

Unfortunately the mouse chewing story is true. However, I was able to cut the plug off that was utilized by Big Dog for some computer software. That wire was heat wrapped and sealed. Im thinking some water went were it shouldn't be as mentioned. I appreciate the quick response by everyone. Its nice to know there is somewhere to go for help. I will let it sit for a day or so then reconnect the battery and see what happens. Hopefully I can get the bike back to roadworthy and get out and start riding again.
It can't hurt to use a hair dryer to help move any moisture.
And make sure to put dielectric grease in the connections when putting them back together..
Well Ed I hope you figure it out, sounds like you got some good advice so you should be fine, hopefully it's not anything more than a little water in a connection or something like that, keep us posted and maybe some rat poison around the bike will help also!

Seems like another member mentioned using rat poison in a couple different instances. Prolly one of my posts. Saw some interesting electronic pest chasers, along with mouse proof electrical tape. If you wanna make your Dog waterproof, dielectric grease all connections, then use marine conformal coating on all the pc boards. That will keep moisture issues at bay for a while.
