2006 Mastiff electrical problems

I was starting my Mastiff and I heard a loud pop now it doesn't do diddly-squat

When I turn the key nothing comes on no lights no nothing

if the starter just spins now without the motor turning over, likely to be the starter shaft has broken. was the "pop" more of a big bang that shook the bike?

now, that is different than what was presented first. what about the circuit breaker/fuse? never had a problem out of mine so maybe somebody else can help on this one.

No it was a big spark And a pop

I checked the 40 amp fuse and it's good
