I'm bettin' the "bigger tits" part will be easier to find than the "mute" part - good luck!

New sissybar... Free
New titties.... $5000 bucks

Which would you rather have?.....

Okay, don't answer that question. :D :whoop:
My wifes were a LOT more than that, but she was going in the opposite direction. :bang:

but she is happier now, with fewer back problems...

I will get mine in since I am now on my third set of bolts

I am concerned that the holes may have even elongated, have to wait and see when I get home.

Sounds like you have a bad one, GM - my dealer really stressed that they don't want to see ANYTHING less than the 0.680 minimum, or you get a new one.
So I have to contact the dealer or BDM directly?

It seems independent of year or make, because the same bar can be used on so many bikes, and they could have been sitting in stock for a long time.

I called BDM directly. They said the chopper is not part of the recall and my dimensions may be normal for my bar.

gas man,

no need to take a chance, have the Dealer measure the bars. three of us down here have had bars replaced. its a free replacement if needed. the recall Does Not state any model or any year, just the size of the bars....all jokes aside, this is a big safety issue. even if you only carry a bag on the bars, ever thought what would happen if the bar broke and the bag got tangled in the drive belt or wheel. not pretty..

Great point but they said it wouldn't be part of the recall. But I'll see about getting it done this winter...
however, that being said, they didn't list any of the 250mm tire bars and BDM said it only applies to some models...

Strut hole size spec?

I've just recently experienced the broken sissy bar mounting bolts problem. I see here that the minimum diameter of the bar should measure .680 or greater. I thought I had read on here somewhere the maximum strut hole diameter size spec from BDM before, but I can't seem to locate it today.
Does anyone recall reading that or familiar with the thread containing it or the spec? Appreciate the pointer if someone remembers it, thanks.
