Also pretty glad I had that hoodie door prize on that ride over the mountain passes in Colorado. I did not pack my leathers when I left 100+ degree Arizona.

We went to Little Sturgus in Kentucky in July one year. Froze my ass off that weekend. Bought a blanket at a truck stop, I was so freaking cold. I never leave home with out them anymore.

This ride was the first time I have ever relied on a hoodie. Given that I foolishly let myself get burned to a crisp the first day out of Phoenix, I was irritated on my neck and up under my chin by buffeting shirts the whole week. When I put the hoodie on, I tucked the hood and strings down my back and the cloth whipping all went away. I liked it so much I wore it as an outer layer the whole ride home until it got to be 104 across the Rez going into Flagstaff. The experience renewed my search for a well-fitting leather vest to wear. I am pursuing a used one of these on eBay:http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/...vZK-d_sfruRbZ687jY0f9qDK2-9h-MocaApc-EALw_wcB
