So you were looking at this bike cause you thought it was a good deal? You have a K9 now correct? Post some pics, we like lookin at em
No, I HAD a K-9 (2007). If I had one already I wouldn't even be looking. Best bike I ever owned. Traded it for a Fat Boy Lo. Sold the Harley when the GF found her "dream house" and we didn't budget for a new gas furnace & heat pump. Finances back in order and I started looking around and stumbled across this bike. Honestly, I think I am going to buy it. I researched the company all day and can't find anything that looks like a scam.. especially not when they take payment via PayPal.

If they will for sure take PayPal and not try and push something else then you have a lot of protection. PayPal is pretty good about favoring the buyer and either way, it may be a hassle but you won't be out money. Maybe just call PayPal and tell them the scenario and double check that they will cover you regardless. Take 15 min, and worth it. Either way, keep is informed..I hope it works out in your favor. Be a sweet deal if it does.

I bought a 99 Corvette Conv off ebay and won the auction. Put down the $500 deposit, bought a cheap Southwest plane ticket, and flew to Tampa from NY. The owner picked me up, I inspected everything, and bought the car. The next day I got temp plates, ins, and drove back to NY. It's a bunch of work but better than being scammed. Be careful out there!!!

Haven't bought it yet.. though according to their website (RumbleOn.com) it is still hold for me for another 30 mins. Maybe they pulled the eBay ad because they are convinced I am going to buy it.. and actually, I think I am. Assuming this is all legit, they couldn't have made it any easier. Free delivery from San Diego. 90 fender to fender warranty. Right bike, right price, low miles, already got the pipes I want. Also, the sissy bar is a HUGE plus - my last one did NOT have a bar and it was a pain in the arse to have to backpack everywhere.

I've talked to them on the phone, I've texted them, I've chatted with them via their website, and I even researched their Facebook page. I am not finding anything suspicious about this company. I did find ONE bad review from someone (seller) who felt they were not offered as much as they should have been for their cycle.. but nothing at all fraud related. As long as they honor my payment via PayPal, this is most likely going to happen. The advice on this forum has been stellar - thanks to all who replied. Going to use PayPal Credit which seems to be VERY well protected in the buyer's favor. One suspicious thing I did encounter however.. I originally applied for their credit, and it was declined because it was determined that their lenders don't finance Big Dogs (and a couple of other brands of crotch-rockets). If I was a suspicious man, I would probably think the entire credit process was a scam just to get my personal information for identity fraud.. has anyone ever heard of a financial institution that didn't finance Big Dogs or any other specific brand of motorcycle?

A lot of banks won't lend money on the older bikes no matter the brand.
Yep...most of the lenders that work with dealers won't lend on a bike over 10 years old and I've even seen a lot less like 3 Years! . Harder to find a big dog NOT over 10 years old these days.

while we are on topic. this could be pure speculation but do bike titles require to be listed as flood or salvaged?
for shits and giggles i looked up Scott City via Fema Flood maps. and there are areas there that potentially flood. just sayin, you never know.

Bikes are like cars are when it comes to marking titles as salvage. But it is still all up to the damage being reported and that typically isn't going to happen unless the insurance company is involved.

I won a Harley on a raffle ticket that was layed over 2 weeks after new purchase, custom redone and it has a salvaged title.

I called them. They don't deal with salvaged or reconstructed titles. This one is clean.

I'm assuming it was a reconstructed title and not a salvaged. Salvaged is the status after the vehicle is written-off. Once it has been restored and passed a rigorous state inspection, it becomes a reconstructed title. I use a reconstructed 2016 Honda Fit as a business vehicle and it was the best buy I ever made. After replacing the battery and recharging the AC, it's a new car I got for under half price. I don't think salvaged/reconstructed titles are as bad as the stigma they appear to have, but obviously buyers should do their homework.

I've owned several vehicles with salvage titles. Credit union just wanted to see em to make sure they were fixed and running. Never made a lick of difference to them.

It depends on the credit union. My own credit union (Member's First) won't touch them, but I found a bank called DCU who do.. only requirement was that they needed a licensed inspection before purchase that cost around $300.

You can't register a salvage title in Florida.
