For how many of you is your Big Dog as your primary means of transport?

I normally don't get it out unless I'm going at least 100 mile or so. But some times I'll ride it to church, or into town for supper. The main reason I don't get it out as much as I would like, is because I have around 200 yards of gravel from my place to pavement.

Retired so ride when ever the weather allows, right now, just sitting in garage, all polished up, ready to go. Some day it will stop raining, things will dry up, and that motor will roar.

If you use your big dog as primary transport you are gonna get yourself in trouble.
I love these bikes but they require way to much love and care.
If you don't believe me ask anyone who's tried. I own 2 never took it to work and I've got about 35k between the two in 6 years.

My Big Dog is my Primary vehicle to work on nice days, my truck is my backup on rainy days, my Daytona 675 is when she hasn't been ridden in a while, and my 2002 Bonneville America is my go to bike when any other bike is being serviced for regular maintenance.
My Big Dog had some EHC issues until I went with Wire Plus

I ride my VTX almost everyday rain or shine and any time I need t run to town by myself. I take the K9 to work every now and then. Ride the K9 when it's nice out. If I need to be in my dress uniforms, I'll take the cage.
I have 6 vehicles and 3 bikes I try and spread the love around. Weather has a lot to do with it.
Mine hasn't seen the highway for some time now. It runs, I crank her up every week, wipe it down and ride it back into the Garage. It all started that I would ride it because I had drop foot and couldn't shift very well. Well that developed into Neuropathy of the lower extremities so now I don't feel my feet. I do have the new Heel Toe shifter and I can ride it to get gas and so on but not too far. I usually ride my Tri-Glide, I don't want to drop the dog as do lose my balance once in a while. I don't want to sell it so I may have it converted to a trike later on if I don't die first.

I said before I was retired, but use my truck, as everyone has me running all over the place getting things, and helping people out. I ride the VTX when I have small things to do, or headed to the gym. The Dog is for the fun of riding, to meet up with someone, or out to lunch on a 2 lane road.

It´s been over six months... I have not seen my Yellow-Bitch since last September.... can´t wait to get my hands on her, in three weeks!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear all that Carlos. Getting old sucks. My wife knows how much I love my Big Dog and will ask me what I am going to do when I can't hold it up anymore.
