I have joined a couple BDM FB groups. It is amazing how much bad info is on there. Such a shame.....

There is a parts group, every now and then good stuff shows up. I think I am on 3 or 4 groups.

I think there are couple more. But it is funny to see the "discussions" about models and yrs. but there are a number of really nice looking bike photos. Yes FB sucks but so many companies use it for advertising sales on things makes it hard not to follow that stuff. The dog videos are awesome.

Just about anything you need has been discussed many times, even you with limited mechanical abilities (as you say) should be able to guide these guys to a search.And are willing to help.
This forum has a Facebook page 'Big Dog Biker' but the group page 'Big Dog Biker Friends' was started by a member for members...it doesn't belong to the forum per se. The guy who started it isn't on FB or the forum much at all but he has me and some other members as admin.
Just thought I should clarify since the forum owner doesn't have any control over that group page.
