Cesad, before you throw anything into that bike think about why it burned up, i burned up 2 of the Wire Plus modules at like $250.00 each and it turned out to be my bike was over charging at like 16 volts, just some good info.

Not if your voltage regulator (VR) is bad. There should be a 40amp fuse that the VR runs to and then after the fuse to the battery. That's the only thing protecting the entire system from a bad VR. Check that before you go throwing other parts at it.

Unless I’m totally wrong Just remember the 40amp fuse practically protects the wire from battery to VR from melting in case the VR shorts. It does not protect EHC from burning from overcharging VR. The fuse breaks on short or when the voltage is over 40 volts on most fuses, electronics burn when charging is around 20 volts...

Maybe he still has the breaker in and never changed over to the fuse yet, in which case the breaker only protects the VR/Battery one way, unlike the fuse. But you should add another 20Amp fuse also on the power wire to the brain.

Thanks for the fuse reminder. I bought the fuse and holder and didn't install it yet. Perfect project for Thursday morning

There's only 1-40 Amp for the VR/Battery and I mounted it using the top hole (see the upper pic in post #31) that mounted the CB, the other fuse was in the wiring harness that came with DOC's ESC, pictured below

His I think is a bit better than the original but at the end of the day the protection is a Relay. It will wear out... Eventually

I just had my flasher Relay on my truck wear out after 19 years. Sometimes the Relay worked sometimes it didn't. It doesn't really make any sense to me how a Relay works 20% or less of the time rather than not at all but $10 later and my flashers work 100% of the time. So relays will wear out

My point exactly, time will tell. No system is built bad on purpose. Only time will tell witch is best.
