I think you might have two holes in your tire!:2thumbs:Dammit picked up two nails this weekend in my rear tire .
It ha 2000 mi. on it what do ya'll think ??
Buy a replacement not worth a potential blowout later.![]()
Replace it. It is not worth listening to everyone bust your balls telling you to do it, so save yourself the asspain of everyone telling you to do it and blah blah blah, I went through the same fucking shit. While you are at it, give your wheel bearings a real good looking over. If they are questionable, replace them. Those are not worth the asspain of putting your shit back together only to have fucking problems down the road. Don't get replacements from BD, they are cheap shitty chink bearings and not worth your trouble, unless they went to a different manufacturer or supplier. If they are like $6 or so from BD, fuck that. I replaced mine, not remove seals and repack and reinstall (bad bad bad)Dammit picked up two nails this weekend in my rear tire .

I agree, inside patch if its new!!!Man, if it's a pretty new tire, take the damned thing off and patch it.
I wouldn't plug is unless I was just trying to get off the hi-way ( which I have done to a rear 300 tire but, it was old. Hell, I rode it that way for a couple of months and I replaced the tire.
If it's new, IMHO, a patch is as good as new if it's put on right.
Or, replace it. Really, you have to be comfortable with your choice though.
I'd always replace a front tire that was damaged though.
I hate to start a pissing match but what the hell. The problem with a plug is this: If it comes out (more than likely at a high rate of speed) then it will go flat in no time. Do yourself a favor and at the very least patch it.I got a 1" screw in my rear tire last week. I got a plug installed. Everyone advised me to purchase a new tire, which would be the right thing to do, but i've only got 450 miles on it. I keep checking it, and it isn't leaking so far. Good luck.
You are normally pretty sharp Dogvet, but I was guessing 3...I think you might have two holes in your tire!:2thumbs:

Well if your going to be all technical, then there is 4 holes in the tire....there is actuall two big holes (one on each side) plus the two nail holes! You are normally pretty sharp Dogvet, but I was guessing 3...![]()
all my new ones come with that big hole in the center ?
Well, actually 6. If you count the holes on each side of the tire, then you must count the holes on each side of the nail holes, there's your 6 holes.Well if your going to be all technical, then there is 4 holes in the tire....there is actuall two big holes (one on each side) plus the two nail holes!![]()
