I want to replace the seat on my 06 K9, Its factory and showing its age. The foam around the suction cups is deteriorated and look like they been glued back in before. I like the looks of the later year K9 seats, they look to be more aerodynamic looking. Anyway anybody changed their seat and got suggestions? Factory solo. I seen some gel seats somewhere, anybody have those?
Thanks in advance.

Do a search on seats and you'll fine some nice ones. Be careful on buying seats from another year not all will fit.
Suction cups are easy to replace if that's all you need.

The suction cups are good, its the hard foam in the seat where they attach that's messed up. Thanks

one of our sponsors is Sterling, many happy Big Dog customers. and if you want to go the custom route and have one made of just about any material you can think of with internal gel padding, check out "Seatmaker" here on the forum. i think his company is "BadAssSeats".

I had my seat redone by a member here. I had gel inserts and memory foam. Seat turned out great and a lot more comfortable.
His name is Scott and goes by Seatmaker on the forum. He also has a website http://www.badassbikeseats.com/
Quick turnaround time also.

You can get them at most stores that sell crafts if there's any around you.

I plan on re-doing my seat using that 'PURPLE' stuff that is being advertised. I bought a slice of it, my wife has claimed it, but I think it will work as a gel pad.

Unless your seat has a bolt on rear of it like say -03 chopper, it has two suction cups and a tongue in front of the seat. Lift rear and slide back. If cups are tight you can lift the rear of the suction cup with finger or fingernail. There actually should be a little plastic "ear" on cup to help lifting it.

Ok, so mine don't just seem to pop out. I pulled pretty darn hard, almost to a point I felt like I could break something. Apply heat? Thx

I think he was trying to remove the suction cup from the seat and not removing the seat.
