I want to know if this is actually a hillbilly set up or an actual ECH from BDM. Seems to hinky for such a beautiful bike and company. If it is hillbilly, the Thundethead is what I should go with correct?
Thanks for any input!!

That sure ain’t look original. I’m not a guru, but as you said earlier the bike has been stripped bare and hardwired more or less? Your options are pretty much open Thunderheart is pretty known solid system.

That's on your bike? Never seen anything remotely like that on anything from a factory ! That stuff looks like some grade school kid's science project . I think you meant to say Thunderheart, but whatever, good luck and someone here thats a lot smarter than me will get ya on the right track. Welcome to the party !!

It looks hardwired to me. Does the bike have factory switches on it? On the handlebars at least.

Yes, thunderheart, my apologies. Yes, this has no speedo, turn signals, it only has a light, tail light and that's it. Looking like a complete re-wire and start over job. When he was running, he screamed.
Thanks

No factory switches, I'm sad, cause it's hard to find anything for these bikes.
Your best bet may be to just clean up the wiring and leave it hardwired. From what I’ve seen, it was the original fix for a bad ehc. See if someone sells a chopper harness kit to clean it up and add turn signals back in to it.

Looking at your original thread, the bike ran good until some shorts took it down? If so, did it fry the ignition?
