So Doug messaged me the other day as he knew I was looking for a set of Eddie Trotta D2's. Well he found DentDudes wife's old bike was up for sale again. The Red Ironhorse the 2nd guy now had the bike up for sale and some stock pipes on it.

So I messaged the guy and offered him some money and Doug very generously went to another country to pick them up for me! He rode 150+ miles round trip and over the boarder packed them in sack and rode it over to FedEx to ship them to me! What a guy he is!

So now I Have the D2 pipes that Paul picked up for Kevin and had them shipped from the MidAtlantic coast up to NY. Now I had them shipped by a Canadian to TX where they will reside for quite some time.

Thanks to Doug! And he gave me some work shirts to boot!

Seriously amazing and I got some nice pipes with quite the history and have been through many hands.

I know...i have a lot to sell now I'm keeping these..i have someone interested in a set already and have a couple more to unload.

Those pipes that your running I couldn't get the rear pipe to seal and it was running way lean on the rear and way fat on the front. I noticed that the exhaust was actually not as wide as the D2's where they go into the head as I couldn't even get a set of torque cones to sit in the exhaust pipes. I'm thinking that's part of the problem. I wonder if they are designed for twin cams? Is that port smaller?

I have the same problem a shit ton of decel pop. I have been trying to adjust the carb and maybe it is actually the pipes? I have been running them with torque cones. Maybe I will take my old pipes into my tig class and try to weld the crack in them.
You had the paughco' on yours right?

Yep those 2" Custom Dumps they are called.

Look these EVO torque cones don't even come close to fully seated in these. That's what makes me think the width is too narrow.

Before I put the D2 on I dropped the torque cone in and it fit like it should do these are wrong. I should have measure it but I didn't.

This is as far in as it goes a solid 3/16" not fully seated.
