I can certainly see your point there...compared to a chopper, those are a pretty posh ride. I would have laughed too. :oldhardlaugh::oldhardlaugh:
In the mid 90's... I did a "lap around America" on an FXWG, after coming home from an overseas deployment..... over 12,000 miles.
But at that time I had only had 2 broken vertebrae, not 6, and my hip and pelvis hadn't been fractured. I've slowed down a little since then...lol
Been there ! I had surgery for a l5 s1 disk 4 years ago still doesn't slow me down ! I get asked all the time how does it ride ? To me its somewhat therapeutic doing 100 miles a day just back and forth to work

Yeah but after doing Laughlin and listening to the guys on a wide glide bitch because they were uncomfortable made me laugh...

Hehee, when I rode my -03 from Wichita to Florida I met a group of baggers in Texas ( don't ask how I ended there, I was following the wind and the sun just for the sheer fun) those guys asked if I'm seriously riding thousands of miles with a chopper and a one small bag on top of head light. They asked I would like to ride with them for a day. I did. It felt funny being only white guy in a chopper in the middle of mc of bad ass looking guys with baggers. Hehehhee

Somedays I kinda feel like some of these old Dogs for sale,... Not lookin, feeling, or running quite like I used to...lol.
In 4 seperate incidents, I broke C-6, T-4, L-4 and L-5 two times. The last time resulted in a L-4 / L-5 / S-1 fusion.
How does that saying go? Chicks dig scars? LOL. As a retired Navy SEAL friend of mine says to me all the time, "It'll quit hurting as soon as the pain is gone"...lmao
I just smile and say, "We were trained to recognize the difference between pain and discomfort... and ignore both of them." :oldhardlaugh:
Carry on !!!
:chopper:
